Martin Nguyen, pa-c

Martin Nguyen is an Arizona native and spent his early 20s in Tucson as a nursing assistant and EMT. He was humbled to work with the elderly in end-of-life treatment and with their vulnerable families in assisted living. After a trip to visit family in rural Vietnam, he noticed parallel healthcare deficiencies due to a limited number of healthcare providers in both Vietnam and the US. In turn, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Care, Health, & Society from the University of Arizona and is proud to have completed his PA training at NAU as a lumberjack. He believes that a smile is fundamental to patient care, is honored to work as a physician extender with Dr. Pham and Dr. Brubaker, and serve in primary care for the Vietnamese and Phoenix community.

On the weekend, you can find him watching YouTube automotive repair videos and with a youth group, nurturing Vietnamese adolescents to becoming confident, empathetic leaders of the next generation. He aspires to be a part of changing health insurance to improve care for those that cannot afford it.

Su-lee choi, fnp-c

Su-Lee Choi was born in South Korea but considers Arizona her home because it is where she grew up with her family. For the first two years of her undergraduate degree, she attended The University of Redlands in Southern California pursuing a degree in biochemistry. Halfway through her degree, she realized that she wasn’t passionate about biochemistry, and yearned to find something that excited and challenged her. She switched her major and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Northern Arizona University. She thrived as a registered nurse and found it humbling and inspiring to serve others. She worked at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center for 6 years as an acute care/charge nurse and was a preceptor to many new graduate nurses. Although she loved what she did, she felt like something was missing, and realized that she needed a new challenge. She went back to school and received her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Phoenix. With a strong foundation in nursing and a deep commitment to helping others, she is excited to step into this advanced role and make a positive impact on her patients’ lives. Focused on providing compassionate, high-quality care, Su-Lee is dedicated to building strong relationships with her patients by supporting and empowering them to take an active role in their health and well-being.

Su-Lee is engaged to Dr. George Liow, a family medicine physician. She hopes to one day have a family of her own. For now, she is focused on learning as much as she can and becoming a resource and trusted partner for her patients. In her free time, she enjoys pickleball, traveling, playing the violin, and lounging around with her pup, Millie.
