Kim Vu and her family immigrated to America in 1991 and have lived in Arizona ever since. As the eldest of five siblings and the only girl, at a young age her parents depended on her assistance to translate for them during doctor’s visits. Thus, her passion for medicine developed naturally. After receiving her B.S. in Applied Biological Sciences from Arizona State University’s College of Technology and Innovation, she continued her education at A.T. Still University in Mesa and earned a master’s degree as a physician assistant.
Ms. Vu is a new graduate who joined Dr. Pham and Dr. Brubaker in September 2012. She worked as an office assistant at North Phoenix Internal Medicine in 2010 and is fluent in both English and Vietnamese. She is formally trained, nationally certified and state licensed to practice medicine. As a physician assistant, Kim obtains medical histories, conducts physical examinations; diagnoses and treats illnesses; and prescribes medication. Although her primary interest is in internal medicine, Kim has completed rotations in dermatology, obstetrics/gynecology, and many more.
In her spare time Kim enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, foreign films, crafting, and interactive computerized and strategy games.
